Bridport's West Street

Oxbridge Farm is only 4 miles from Beaminster, a quintessential English market town with a large number of picturesque and historic properties and is situated in an area designated of being of outstanding natural beauty. Individual specialist shops cater for a variety of tastes and surround the central market square. The market town of Bridport, also only 4 miles away with its street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays is well worth a visit. A monthly Farmers Market is also well worth a visit on the second Saturday of the month 9am-1pm.

Chedington

There is plenty to do for the less energetic with visits to local Historic Houses and Gardens at Forde Abbey, Mapperton and Abbotsbury to name a few. Dorchester, the heart of Thomas Hardy country is a bustling town half an hour's drive away, with a Dinosaur Museum and a walking tour of Casterbridge.

Golf is available at several courses, with Bridport and Lyme Regis along the Jurassic Coast and Cheddington in rolling hills, or try Halstock for a friendly 9 or 18 holes.

Riding can be arranged, as can the accommodation of your own horse and dog - by prior arrangement.
